After a bit more fiddling around in the Sky Walkway, I use the Night Goggles to help me through a darker route within it.
This will eventually take me into the Aqueduct of Dragons. A somewhat aquatic area full of Mermen to fry with your whip and magic.
The boss of this place is a Giant Merman, who can spin around like a hedgehog and summon weaker Mermen to do its bidding, as well as unleash deadly waves from the water below.

The path past this boss will lead to the Clock Tower, but I wanted to explore the Aqueduct a bit more for some important items, such as the Ice-based Blue Stone, and a secret spot that leads to the Nail of Vlad! That's two Dracula pieces after getting Vlad's Ring.
I then save one more time and to plan a march through the Clock Tower.
