I've moved away from inking and more towards splatting in the Grand Splatfest, pulling out my Range Blaster. On the one hand, I'm more comfortable with the weapon, I get more splats, and I feel much more competitive with it. On the other hand, I don't ink as much turf.
This was definitely a better battle for me, though. The missed shots on the Splatana waddling with their Tenta Missiles is embarrassing, and the Tri-slosher had everyone's number, putting in the best stats. But I had fun, and felt like I was contributing.

Im totally ready! Maybe it doesnt bode well that I am the first down to low tide, but moving on, and a Big Shot strolls up to be first, closely followed by a Steel Eel. That should be straightforward, but its not helped by getting surrounded by spoony Smallfry. I fire a couple of eggs, grab another, and splat a Fish Finger on my way back to the basket, where the fired eggs wait. I dunk a few, throw another right over the basket. Never mind, theres a Maws to splat, squidmate to be revived, and a Flipper to drop gunk on me. I help with a Scrapper and finish off a Fish Finger, before stopping a Snatcher coming overheard to get two more eggs in the basket. That felt like a good wave. On to the next!
The tide comes in, so its time to ink the walls. Not enough inklings do this still! Okay, its not as needed for Mudmouths, but we still could use the escape routes. And maybe our fourth squidmate to be present. I hope they come back! In the meantime, I use my Dualie Squelchers to deal with the Smallfry spewing from a Mudmouth as a squidmate throws Splat Bombs, before heading back near the basket to throw my own Splat Bombs. That leaves a bunch of eggs which we start throwing in to the basket, and we hit quota, which is good, and keep our absent squidmate, which is better.
The tide comes in further for the final wave, and I have the Heavy Edit Splatling for some foggy fishing. A Lid feels my inky fury first, and a Stinger would next if a squidmate didnt get there first. I probably could have just shot from the basket, which I do for the next Stinger. I wait near the basket as a few Goldies slowly wander their way around, hoping we can lure them up here, which is seems like we can. We need to stay up here ourselves, though, which I only just do when a Steel Eel boops me. As more bosses take the sweet time coming, I clear some Cohocks, before being mildly disappointed that a stuffed Goldie wasnt let closer to the basket. Never mind, maybe we wont even clear the wave, as things start to get a bit too busy around the basket. Luckily, Special weapons get thrown around, reviving everyone and clearing turf, and we clear the wave and the Run.
We almost clear the Run. Here comes Joe! At high tide too, which makes having Dapple Dualies less of a problem. Theres not much we can do to start with, so we just shoot. Bosses start appearing, but I dont know how to get near to them, so I keep shooting, until an egg lands at my feet, and then Im splatted by a Flyfish. Im revived soon enough, and I try to get more eggs, but I dont have the range of the Dapple Dualies tuned in, and then get buffeted around. My squidmates are doing better, which is good, but I would like to help. Luckily, I get my opportunity, and Joe pops up where there are lots of eggs, and I start to contribute a little. My squidmates are doing a lot too, and Joe barely pops up one more time before hes roundly splatted. Woomy!")

Bloblobbing lets me ink walls at the start, and its good to see my squidmates are contributing. On to the bosses, and they are in the corner for now, where were unlikely to retrieve many eggs. I just leave them, but maybe not those on the Fish Finger, which are safe to gather and easily thrown. I bounce blobs to splat a Scrapper at the basket, and a Steel Eel adds to nearby eggs. I could help with the second Scrapper, but the Bloblobber is just the weapon to splat the new Stinger, and at a distance. I help with a Steelhead, stop a Maws, and kinda get in the way of a squidmate splatting a Fish Finger, but we sort ourselves out. We get quota with time to spare, and keep splatting and dunking to the end of the wave, bagging ourselves a decent tally.
The second wave grants me the new Brolly, which is fine I suppose, and we get Mudmouths. The Brolly actually could help here, with suppressing the Smallfry. I just need to find some. Its mostly Cohocks, which seems unusual, but we get plenty of eggs out of it, if too far from the basket. The Mudmouth next to the basket spews Smallfry, so I put my Brolly to work, then its back to Cohocks. I mess up the next Smallfry horde, but we get through it, and we spend the last few seconds delivering eggs to the basket.
Low tide for the final wave, and a classic Splattershot for me. I think Ill waste it and clamber in to a cannon, for a Cohock rush. Im happy with my cannoneering, for the most part, although I let a Flyfish stick around a bit too long when I get slightly flustered when chased by a Steel Eel. Then again, we arent racking up the eggs, even deep in to the wave, so hopping out and collecting some seems like a good idea. We really dont need three inklings in cannons. I can also shoot a Drizzler missile away to stop some of the rain. But the squad realises we need eggs, and everyone contributes as time ticks down, getting us through the Run without any difficulty. And no one got splatted! Good job, everyone. Woomy!")

The usual caution starts the Tower Control battle, but I push up behind another squidmate, bagging me my first splat, but I dont quite press the Range Blaster quickly enough and succumb to their ink. My squidmates are on the Tower, however, and having taken a decent lead. Im in no rush to return, though, not when I hear a Kraken form. I get some height instead, and drop down to splat the Splat Roller, and jink to catch the Wellstring moving on the Tower. Then its on the Tower to stop its reversing, hopping off to splat the Splat Charger running away, and moving on to think I splat the Splat Roller, but actually catch the returning Wellstring.
My squidmates keep the Tower moving, and I sit and watch for an opportunity. I find one, blow it, and run away myself, returning to give an Inkjet a try. Im really still not any good with it. The Splat Roller is a little obvious in their approach next, and while I think Im doing well to flank the Range Blaster, their annoying Kraken transformation has me running again. Im not sure even Toxic Mist slows them down, but Ive got to try. At least I splat the Range Blaster after they change back, following a short pursuit that has them panicking. I think thats karma.
As before, my squidmates keep the Tower moving, which is good as I cant jump on. I move up instead, getting a bit daring, and jump in to an Inkjet to try to stay safe. I do well to splat the Range Blaster, but I dont stay safe, the Splat Charger easily picking my gently bobbing self out of the air. I get a bit reckless next, as I try to halt a Tower with a Bubbled Splat Roller on it, despite it only being at the first checkpoint and us having a big lead. And despite being more cautious on my return, the same thing happens again.
Thankfully, my squidmates stop the green push, and I come back to hit the flank and splat the Range Blaster to help take some pressure off. My positioning lets me surprise the Wellstring, and moving up to the Tower quietly not only sees the Splat Roller approach the cleared objective, but splat them before they can erect another Bubble. I dont like my odds against the Splat Charger and Range Blaster combined, though, so I run away again, returning moments later to splat both, albeit making myself vulnerable to the returned Splat Roller. Im okay with that.
The green team push again. Our turf cover works in my favour this time, as I slide up to the two of the inklings covering the Tower, and giving me an easy splat on the Range Blaster, and one requiring more sloshes on the Splat Charger. The Splat Roller tries to splat me, but gives up to stick to the Tower, which works against them as I turn around. One left, and I splat the Wellstring too, only to stand in their inksploding shot. So it goes. The green team have one last shot, as time runs out. I hit the flank again, splatting the Splat Charger but missing the Wellstring, who splats me comfortably off the Tower this time. But its okay, as my squidmates are there to stop the overtime push nice and early. Woomy!")

As my squidmates contest the Splat Zones, I create some points of entry for us, or mostly me, along the side. I have to recover some ink after that, but I see movement to the side and move to hit whoever is on the uninkable block. They move, I compensate, and the Jet Squelcher is splatted. Nice!
The Splat Zones are captured, but we have an Explosher sitting safely on a ledge. They can ink turf really efficiently, so something has to be done. A nice jump with a Burst Bomb throw and Carbon Roller flick does the trick. Another Burst Bomb and flick splats the Splattershot threatening our purple Splat Zones, and I can pause to recover some ink.
The orange team return. I try to dive past the ink flying our way for another splat, but get caught in a crossfire and am not quick or careful enough to stay unsplatted. I return down the side, where I catch someone by surprise, but not enough by surprise, and have to back off and hide. At least until I whip out a Trizooka. That doesnt do as much as Id like, but I get back to the Splat Zones to ink them, running with some rain, causing me some concern. I duck out of the way, followed by the Splattershot Pro, who doesnt quite follow my movements.
I push forwards again, and another inkling jumps off the ledge. My aim isnt as good this time, and it would have been a splatting for me if it werent for a squidmate backing me up. I head back up and sneak my way in to orange turf. I am nearly exposed, but stay close enough to catch the Splattershot Pro not quite expecting me, before moving to the ledge to hit the Splattershot with a lucky direct hit, and follow-up on the Explosher appearing at the wrong time. That completes a Wipeout. Nice!
I head back to protect the Splat Zones, watching the sides for any orange inklings trying to sneak past our vanguard. There isnt too much interest in that, so I scoot across to where ink is flying in, and again am caught in some crossfire. The stain I leave is unfortunate, but really doesnt matter when we win the knockout victory before I can even return. Woomy!")

Im getting closer to 999 in the All-Grizzco weekend, and in to Hazard Level Max Runs. Thats not really much of a problem when facing a Tornado, however, particularly not when theres a Grizzco Roller on your squad, wielded by an inkling who knows how to squish Chum. The higher quota barely registers for the first wave either. On to the second!
Its still low tide, which is arguably easier for Spawning Grounds, and we have two buckets and a Roller. I dont see this going badly, not with the power to splat most bosses with a couple of sloshes and the Roller to keep the smaller fish at bay. I get my range wrong with a Stinger, but a squidmate gets closer, and I know just where to stand to splat a Fish Finger from the ground. Of course, we have to get eggs too, so I spend some time doing that before the influx of bosses requires me to be more active in splatting them. I trust my squidmates be productive in their positions and head elsewhere to splat a Flyfish, not waiting to see if I do or not before moving on to another. Sadly, a surprise Steel Eel stops me. Im revived soon enough, and we dunk enough eggs not to worry about quota. And we have splatted enough bosses that survival wont be a problem. On to the final wave!
The tide comes in, so I use my Brolly to ink some walls. Not many walls need inking though, which is credit to my squidmates. The first bosses are easy, but I waste time going back for more eggs instead of moving on, and nearly get trapped for it. I get away and move down to help with Big Shots, and, as is often the case with Big Shots, they tend to keep coming back, and I find myself staying down by the jetties, until the drizzle gets me. Im revived with an excellent shot, after I see a Snatcher loaded with eggs splatted to drop them near the basket, letting me know everythings fine up there. I stay where I am, because two more Big Shots are wandering around. I use my second Inkstrike on them and head back to the basket, adding a couple more eggs before the wave ends, getting me closer to my overall goal.
But were not quite finished. In come the Triumvirate! I dont really know what to do to start with, but end up using an Inkstrike on a Flyfish, before launching eggs at whatever boss is nearest or biggest. I hit an unfortunate Snatcher too, which is unfortunate. Joe comes for me next, and I try to drag them under Boros, not quite managing it, and there is a panic moment where I am the only inkling standing. The revivals come, and were back to full strength. I move Joe again, with squidmates splatted again, and manage to stay mobile and revive the pair of them, safely huddled together. WEre running out of time, though, and I am running around like a headless chicken. I find some focus next to a squidmate, as we hit Boros with combined Chargers, but even though we splat the one King Salmonid, its all a bit much, and we have to resign ourselves to just the one splat. And only copper scales. Still, it was a good Run, and I am a step further towards 999. Woomy!")

Woo, the Grizzco bucket! Nothing can go wrong in this wave, not with the best weapon in my mitts. Look at my puny squidmates, relying on their Splat Bombs to deal with the Flyfish. Not I! And they have to bring a Lid down, instead of sloshing up through its armour. Even a Stinger they waste time with. I am almighty! Bring on the Scrapper! The Flippers! Even the Fish Finger is no match for the best weapon. More Lids, two at a time, and a Steelhead. A Drizzler. A Steel Eel. A mid-air Flipper. The only problem with having the Grizzco Slosher is that the wave has to end. And it does, with loads of eggs in the basket and nary a blip in our productivity.
Getting the Clash Blaster feels weak after the first wave, not helped by having got the Grizzco Blaster in a previous Run. Still, its quite fast at blasting, I suppose, and I forget about the Grizzco version soon enough, getting in to the Clash groove. I have fun with a squidmate and a Flyfish, and drag a Maws back to the basket afterwards, if not the squidmate. I splat the Maws before reviving the squidmate, and continuing to splat a Stinger. I struggle getting up a wall, and dont waste time with a Flyfish when I see two Stingers, soon three, on the other side of the water. Thos will be trouble, and I am the inkling to deal with them. Im hampered a little by a Fish Finger above, but the Stingers are all splatted. And so am I, not being able to escape. Help comes, but doesnt help, and were struggling for eggs with ten seconds to go. It all feels a bit desperate as the egg we needs hits the basket with five seconds to go, but all is well, and we make it through to the final wave.
The tide comes in, just right for the short-ranged Dapple Dualies. Im sure I wont dodge-roll in to the water at all. I actually do well to start, getting the dodge-rolls working against Cohocks, and to get away from a Maws, which I still splat. I dunk some eggs and go to help with a Lid, and a string of Drizzlers. I mess up approaching a Steel Eel, but as its the third wave a Splashdown is pulled out, which helps, and I take the lead and whip up a B-bomb for a distant(ish) Stinger. I help with some nearby Scrappers, splat a Maws, before bringing down a Lid on to some Cohocks, dodge-rolling away from more like it comes naturally. With time running out, I use my second B-bomb just to clear turf around some eggs, and refill my tank, so that we can cram some last-second eggs in to the basket. I cant help but also bring down a Lid and splat a Drizzler, but we still hit the half-tonne to finish. Woomy!")

Everyones inking the walls. This is beautiful. Im torn between the early bosses as they appear, achieving little before reviving a squidmate trying to sneak an early egg from under Cohocks. Im still a bit at sea after that, but I get in to a groove, throwing an egg and grabbing a second from a Fish Finger before moving on. Ive been a bit lax in egg collection, so am focussing a bit more on efficiency there, while also doing my bit in keeping the Chum population down. I splat a Steel Eel for ignoring me, head across to help with a Flipper, and stick to my two-egg plan. A couple of Scrappers come my way, testing my ink tank, and thankfully a squidmate helps me out. I run away from Steelheads to find myself among Cohocks, and in my disorientation run in to a Steelhead bomb. So it goes. Im revived, splat a Flipper I probably didnt need to, and stuff a couple more eggs in the basket to complete the wave.
Not much prep is needed for the second wave, which is nice. I dunno where the first boss is, though. Ah, a Scrapper wanders up, and we patiently wait their arrival. Then a Fish Finger drops near me, and delivering a couple of eggs has my falling next to a Steel Eel by the basket. Something else by the basket is a Scrapper, which is a bit pushy for my liking. I wiggle off to get revived, and help with a pair of Scrappers while being mindful of Drizzler missiles. I move up to help with a Flipper, which brings me in range of a Lid, and then a second behind me. I struggle to get on top of that one, but the pause works out, as I splat a Fish Finger at eye level. I take a while, and the Lid bumping me off as I splat them doesnt let me move seamlessly on to a Flyfish, but thats not a problem, as we need eggs, so I head back to the basket. My squidmates are working on that too, helped by a Maws at the basket, and a final flurry gets our tally nicely above quota.
On to the final wave, and the tide comes in, just right for my Splat Dualies to get me dodge-rolling in to water. The early bosses pose no problems, and I drop down to the basket to help clear Cohocks away, moving back up on to the ledge when I run out of ink. I refill and splat a Stinger, moving on to help with a Flyfish, before running away to safety. Its the final wave, though, and I have two Splashdowns left, so after splatting a Fish Finger I dive off to completely clear the turf around the basket, leaving only eggs. The Cohocks reappear soon enough, so its back to shooting, but a second Splashdown repeats the trick, and revives a squidmate, and were flown past quota already. I only get one more egg in the basket, as I dodge-roll around trying to keep the Cohock population down, but my squidmates remain nicely active, and we sail past the half-tonne for the wave. It maybe wasnt the cleanest run, but it scored pretty well. Woomy!")

Uh-oh, Torpedoes could cause me problems. But, then, so could the Dapple Dualies throwing them. A squidmate splats them, so I go back towards the Splat Zones and get a nice splat on the Flingza Roller trying to stay in cover. I push forwards and miss hitting a super-jumper, which is unfortunate, but the pinklings are all splatted and we capture the Splat Zones. We hold the Splat Zones for a while, but they are neutralised when inkoming Tenta Missiles push a couple of us back. I stay back a bit, trying to ink my way forwards, but the pinklings seem to be all around. I almost get caught, but poke the Flingza Roller, splat the Dread Wringer, and just about escape the Dapple Daulies to get behind them for a splat too.
I cant hit the Splatana on the ledge above, not a second time, so I withdraw and help with the Flingza Roller, before going back for another go at the Splatana. They do a nifty shift which befuddles me, so I run away again, before Tenta Missiles force me to just run. The Splat Zones turn pink, but before we lose the lead we turn them green again, and the Splatana appears in just the right place for me to splat them. But the pink pressure continues, and in trying to stay unsplatted I focus more on the pinklings than the Splat Zones. We lose the lead, and I dont even get any splats.
My squidmates follow me back to base, which doesnt help our prospects. I try to find an angle to return from, but only end up in the path of a Dolphin. I get some revenge on my return, and move up to the Splat Zones to help ink them. I think a pinkling is nearby but my blasts dont find them. A squidmates Wave Breaker highlights them nicely, but it still takes a bit of effort to get the splat. We recapture the Splat Zones, so I push forwards, hoping to keep the pinklings at bay, but only manage to fully anticipate exactly where to stand for the dodge-rolling Dapple Dualies to hit me at point blank range. So it goes.
I fend off the Dapple Dualies on my return, which is good. Even better is the Splatana jumping out in front of me. I miss some more speculative shots, so focus a bit more on keeping the Splat Zones green, even if I cant resist chasing the Splatana. We seem to be doing well as a team, with my squidmates focussing on our Splat Zone, which is being heavily contested by the pinklings, while I keep the pink Splat Zone as green as I can. But the pinklings catch on, and get someone behind me, while Im looking forwards. I cant defend myself adequately, and am splatted. The Splat Zones are turned pink too.
With little time left, it seems like we have too much to do. Even getting to the Splat Zones looks like too much at the moment, as there is a lake of pink to get through first. But I blast my way forwards, keeping safe, and throw out a Wave Breaker as a diversion and to highlight some pinklings. It does the trick, and I may have a double-splat in front of me, but its just a bit too late. The pinklings have won.")

Random weapons grants me the Grizzco Brolly and the power of inking walls to start the Run. I am quite grateful. On to the bosses, and a Steelhead regrets walking under a Lid, and the Fish Fingers coming to the basket dont last long. Many eggs are dunked as a Big Shot appears, or maybe three of them. I head down to help out and shoot some eggs back, and when I get back I see our squidmates have been busy on the other side of the Junction. There are eggs a-plenty to throw, and not much time left. I get to it, as do the others, and we finish a smooth wave with a decent tally.
A Squeezer is a decent weapon for Salmon Run, not that it does anything special against Flyfish, which quickly turn up. I think about pausing for a second Steelhead, the first hit in massive crossfire, but instead take an egg back to the basket and not really help with a Fish Finger. I see a squidmate needs help, so revive them via a Steelhead, then pause for a Maws before going to assist with splatting a Stinger. A Lid gets in the way, a Steelhead wanders past, and a Flyfish is nearby too. I do what I can, and consider what to do next. Hang about, really, as a squidmate is splatted, and another near the basket, and we still need eggs. But Stingers dont care about that, and they are targeting me. I trust my squidmates with the egg situation and head down to the shore, where I finish of a Flyfish and splat the Stinger, hopping the water to splat the others. But what others? Never mind, theres a Fish Finger, and a Maws about to bite me. I jump away to avoid that, in to the water. Not a great alternative, and nearly ends the Run, but we survive to the final wave.
Dapple Dualies for Glowflies. This shouldnt cause a problem, but it does rely on some coordination. Pulling out one of my B-bombs when I run out of ink helps, and I hold it for as long as I dare. A Killer Wail helps too, and then Im back to dodge-rolling to get my quick fire rate, while trying to maintain a healthy ink tank. Theres a glitch when our Tetra Dualies get caught, and I am unprepared for the Glowflies to switch to me, but a Wave Breaker gets us back up. The second Killer Wail comes out, as does an Inkstrike, and as I grab eggs and get in the way of the fevered Chum, I think my second B-bomb would come in useful. If only I could launch more quickly. Im revived in time to get splatted again, but my squidmates, or one of them at least, keep us going, and we finish strongly again, for a pretty decent overall tally. Woomy!")

A Maws is splatted, not by me, and eggs delivered, but a remaining egg is left as I have a Flyfish to splat. Inked walls but not turf leaves me short in the ink tank for both Flyfish bins, so I bring down a Lid instead, which lets me escape Cohock attention, and a Maws. I splat the Lid, land with a good throw on the Flyfish, and escape the Maws to drag her closer to the basket. My squidmates get the eggs, as I splat Chum, which is okay, and I move on to a Drizzler, and finally get my mitts on more eggs. I head up the column and splat a Snatcher, maybe a bit too far from the basket, but also maybe my Sploosh-o-matic wouldnt reach it further along. I drop down to drop a Lid too, but landing in gunk next to the force field scuppers me for a few seconds, while a squidmate above just splats it from range. I move away from Flipper trouble, find an egg or two, and move back to get the eggs from a Flipper, ending the wave smoothly.
I get the range of the Jet Squelcher for the second wave, so plant myself atop the column from the start. That doesnt help with a slow Steelhead, neither does a Splat Bomb, but it was worth a try. I help with a Maws that needed no help, as my squidmates splat the Steelhead, but drop down to actually help with a Flyfish, and move back to the basket where Flippers fly in. I let squidmates splat a Steel Eel as I deal with a lone Stealhead, but distant Stingers start causing problems, so I move their way. The Rapid Blaster comes to help, which is appreciated and speeds things up, then its back to the basket with a Steel Eel in tow. And a Maws. I ignore that, for some reason, and bring down a Lid. I throw a Splat Bomb to revive a squidmate, and just miss splatting a Steelhead when once more on turf. As the wave winds down, Im just trying to stay out of the drizzle.
On to the final wave, high tide with the Rapid Blaster. I try to splat a Steelhead, which doesnt work, and drop a Lid on it, which also doesnt work, and I get a frying pan to the head for my troubles. Im revived and go back for another attempt, which goes better. I get distracted by a new Lid appearing, and the one Im on gets tired of me and ladles me off. I try to splat a Stinger but have a Steel Eel to dodge, and only just get back on the Lid to avoid it, but splatting the Lid drops me in to danger. Im not in a great position, but a squidmate spots me and sends ink my way, letting me splat a new Stinger. I help with a Fish Finger at the basket, then focus on dunking eggs for a bit, pausing only to throw an Inkstrike at a Flyfish. In the final few seconds, its back to eggs, and we soar past the quota.
But its not over. In comes Joe, at high tide, to try to ruin our day. I squid around a bit to start, with nothing much to splat, then get some eggs and aim for the red spot. Squidmates are getting splatted, so I try to revive them, before chucking an Inkstrike at Joe. That gets its attention, but it cant eat me, not when a Chum has already splatted me. Flawless logic. It takes a little while to get revived, but I keep my eye on a Snatcher stealing eggs back, and splat that as Joe pops up again. Now we can do some damage. I could do more the next time to, if only I wasnt chased by Cohocks. And a Flyfish causes problems, stopping me reviving a squidmate, and getting me stuck inside Joe, but a Kraken sees me and comes to my rescue. I thank them by falling in to the water. Its all good, though, as my squidmates keep the damage piling up, and by the time Im revived we dont need to do much to get the splat on Joe. Woomy!")

Woo, I come out strong, splatting the Inkbrush almost immediately. I should probably retire, but weve kinda got a battle to finish. I go for the Tri-stringer next, which turns out to be a Wellstring, and I have an Octobrush behind me. Never mind, at least theyre stopped from scoring. I toss some Toxic Mist out to help keep it that way, but still the Inkbrush wades through it, grabs the dropped power clam, and scores before I realise and can stop them. The damage is limited to just the power clam, and we can counter-attack. I hope, naively, that an Inkjet will help, but at least I am allowed to land. That lets me move up behind the Wellstring to splat them, as my squidmates defend out basket.
Im still dragging clams behind me, and find another to make me one short of a power clam. I also see the trail of an inkling in front of me, and start sloshing. Somehow, I miss, and the Inkbrush splats me. How embarrassing. I return to see the Octobrush being deep in our turf. I hit them with Toxic Mist and follow, seeing where they hide. I think theyre expecting me, but I slosh early enough to splat them. I hear a barrier breaking, and think my efforts have been in vain, but its not the yellow team scoring, its my squidmates! I press forwards, looking for clams, but I am too far away to affect our score, although I splat the Wellstring in my way and manage to distance myself from trouble.
The two brushes pose a threat as I keep my distance. I manage to splat the Octobrush, but in trying to evade the Inkbrush and find a favourable angle to slosh them, the Range Blaster splats me, before being guided to our basket with a power clam. A Wipeout stops that attack, and gives us a good opportunity to counter immediately. A squidmate pushes forwards with a power clam as I make my ow. The barrier is broken, and I toss my power clam forwards as a decoy, following behind to toss it in to the basket and give us the lead. Nice! Squidmates toss more clams in, extending our lead, but the barrier closes again.
I move up and splat the Octobrush, but realise I am now by myself, so retreat to the basket and defend, waiting for my squidmates to return. A Hammer coming my way doesnt fill me with confidence, although it somehow misses me. Im still splatted, from behind by the Range Blaster, but my squidmates are now back and keep our lead safe, if not the basket. With two power clams left not scored, they did a good job. I push forwards, splatting the Wellstring as I find clams, and just about get enough to make a power clam. I get as close as I dare to the yellow basket and throw, only to see the power clam drop short. But I am followed by squidmates, with their own power clam that hits the basket. Mine is reclaimed and scored too, and I barely have time to return before another is scored, winning us the knockout victory. Woomy!")
