Starting this week with my Worst Weapon Runs of Soul Edge will be bottom 3 Worst Weapons in the game with the 3rd Worst being with Li Long and his Powerful but very frail Snake Wind. The run will also be completed on Ultra Hard with No Continues but unlike the other runs the Timer is enabled. Lets take a look below at Li Long's Snake Wind stats in numbers:
Snake Wind -
Power: 125.0%
Defense: 70.2%
Strength: 75.0%
Durability: 56.2%
Weight: 4 Bars/1.03 Speed
Range: 1.00
Pierce Damage: 35%
Pierce Weakness: 20%
Special Effects: 6% Self-Damage per swing
As you can see by the stats, this is your typical "Powerful but drains energy" batch of weapons but the ingame description will instead mentions its Pierce Damage capabilities. This is because typically these batch of weapons have 30% Pierce Damage while having 15% Pierce Weakness as their average but if you look above, Snake Wind is abit more extreme with 35% and 20% respectively. Basically this weapon is all about Power but sacrificing pretty much every other stat save for its Speed which is sitting at an ok 1.03 Modifier. Now if you watched my actual Best Weapon runs, Li Long has a weapon that completely overshadows the Snake Wind with it being the White Tiger as not only it has every stat sitting at either 100.0% or above, it also deals even more Pierce Damage then the Snake Wind even when Snake Wind has a higher Pierce Damage % going for it. On the even worse side of the comparison between the 2 weapons, despite the White Tiger having a 30% Pierce Weakness, it takes way less damage when blocking when compared to Snake Wind's 20% Pierce Weakness which is do to its abysmal Defense stat at 70.2%. Also to add even more insult to injury, White Tiger can do everything it can while not having a Self-Damage effect instead being abit slower which is definitely workable. During my runs at a first glance the weapon seems good but as soon as i reach stage 5, this is where the run pretty much ends everytime as Li Long like with Taki being 2 amazing characters, they really are built poorly to deal with the CPU and coupled that with a low Defense weapon and you have a recipe for disaster. It became next to impossible even with continues to actually finish the run so i enabled the timer for this run and set it to 30 Secs. Once i notice that the CPU is already at a point where i cannot win in a fair fight, then i am just gonna timer scam my way to victory. This synergises pretty well with the amount of Pierce Damage the Snake Wind is able to do as in the worst possible situation i can force then to block a single hit and i just run away the whole time. Yes folks... the weapons during this week are bad enough for this to be my only way to win and truth be told i wasnt expecting this weapon to perform so damn poorly but then i was reminded on just how well the CPU is when going up against Li Long...
