Continuing on with the Worst Weapon runs of Soul Edge this time around with Hwang and his Fast but frail defensively Mountain Breaker. The run will also be completed on the Ultra Hard difficulty with No Continues. Lets take a look below at Hwang's Mountain Breaker stats in numbers:
Mountain Breaker -
Power: 106.2%
Defense: 71.4%
Strength: 68.7%
Durability: 106.2%
Weight: 2 Bars/1.08 Speed
Range: 1.12
Pierce Damage: 0%
Pierce Weakness: 5% (Approximate)
Special Effects: None
As you can see by its stats, it differs abit from your typical Fast but weak batch of weapons as the Mountain Breaker does have other stats that are above average namely its Power and Durability at 106.2% while also having a 1.12 Range modifier. It does have a very poor Defense stat at 71.4% alongside a 5% Pierce Weakness and despite the Mountain Breaker being Hwang's worst weapon in comparison to his others thanks to his amazing weapon selection, you would be surprised that Hwang can actually utilize the full potential of the Speed stat thanks in part to his amazing long ranged pokes so that awful Defense stat suddenly isnt as bad as it would be for other characters. Now as i mentioned in the very first run, some of those worst weapons can be so bad that you are better off just using their standard weapons when it comes to consistency but the Mountain Breaker actually breaks this mold as it does have a somewhat better consistency compared to his standard weapon if you abuse its best stats to its near maximum potential. For now this is by far the best of the Worst Weapons by a long shot and thanks to that this run was a cakewalk. The Defense is the only reason where its not really feasable to finish the entire run without losing a single round as the CPU will just get a hit off eventually no matter how fast your moves are thanks to their -1 frame reactions but for a Worst Weapon to make things easy is surely an oddity.
