Continuing on with the Worst Weapon runs of Soul Edge this time around with Sophitia and her Weapon Breaking but extremely weak Sword Breaker. The run will also be completed on the Ultra Hard difficulty with No Continues. Lets take a look below at Sophitia's Sword Breaker stats in numbers:
Sword Breaker -
Power: 69.9%
Defense: 70.2%
Strength: 137.5%
Durability: 150.0%
Weight: 3 Bars/1.06 Speed
Range: 0.75
Pierce Damage: 0%
Pierce Weakness: 0%
Special Effects: None
At first glance you will notice that the Sword Breaker belongs to those batch of weapons that are "Excellent at destroying weapons" as it has a very high 137.5% Strength while also being hard to break itself with 150.0% Durability which is the same Durability that Soul Edge has. The catch of this weapon however are its Power and Defense sitting at 69.9% and 70.2% respectively. Despite it having good Speed with a 1.06 modifier, this weapon doesnt belong to the Fast but weak weapon batch as Sophitia's Rapier belongs there and its actually quite strong. Now back to the Sword Breaker, when you consider the fact that it has only 5.1% more Power in comparison to her Blue Crystal Rod while not only lacking an Healing Effect and coupled with the 2nd lower defense of all weapons at 70.2% means that the only way that you can actually win with this weapon is to pretty much always disarm the opponent so that it make things even for you. Now Sophitia is definitely not a character that has moves to exploit this other then just doing repeated attacks so that hurts the weapon even more in the long run. Since it has 150.0% Durability, it means that its extremely hard to disarm Sophitia so using some of the Weapon Gauge for well placed Critical Edges will help to compensate for its abysmal Power but another thing that i also had to keep in mind was its Range as its Sophitia's only weapon where its actually shorter at 0.75 modifier. This means that she becomes almost as stubby as Taki which only makes matters worse in the long run. I was actually dreading this run beforehand but in the end, Sophitia's moveset has a better time against the AI as she does have moves where the AI has trouble blocking like her B,B,A,B and in the end that served as a nice compensation for the run to my surprise actually as this run only took 1 try for me to be able to finish it without continuing. I guess the devs didnt make her Sword Breaker have overall good stats like 110.0% + Power or 120.0% + Defense as Sophitia weapons are just very good in general on par with Hwang and Mitsurugi. If the Sword Breaker had the above Power and Defense, her "worst" weapon would be the Rapier but even that weapon is good as it has above 100.0% Power, good Speed, long range and Pierce Damage as not even her Ultimate Weapon has Pierce Damage onto it.
