Anyone who has shot with the newish Sony 300mm f/2.8GM knows how sharp, lightweight, and compact it is. I would love to have a 500mm lens made in that same vein and concept. Lightweight, small, and super sharp is the ticket. What do you think Sony should do with their next long glass launch? Do you want an integral teleconverter in a zoom or prime lens?

Sony FX30 First Look At Menus: A primer for new owners

$Shooting H.S. Football with Sony 300GM and 135GM lenses with the Sony A9III cameras. The 70-200mm f/2.8 has long been either the primary lens people use to shoot football under lights either alone, or as a companion to the 300mm or 400mm f/2.8 lenses. But some easy tests showed me the 135mm f/1.8 prime lens might be better on multiple levels. Even when shooting all the way across the end-zone, the 135 wide open blows the background out of focus more than the 200mm f/2.8 look. Because its a prime, there is less to think about for long pass plays that come towards the shooter too less to think about equals point and shoot. This is good for my ADD sensibilities as less to do in a short fraction of time increases my chances for success. Add in the 135s AF speed and a little Pre-capture magic (.01) from the A9IIIs and you can get an old guy to perform without a blue pill.
