Playthrough of the version included on Sonic & Knuckles Collection. This collection also includes Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles. It features everything from the Mega Drive versions along with some very different sounding music. Some tracks were also replaced with new pieces of music.
At least, people thought they were new. Most notably, the tracks for Carnival Night, Ice Cap and Launch Base sound completely different that they do on the Mega Drive. However, in 2019 a prototype was released, which featured this music in it. In other words, the replacement PC music was actually what was originally intended to be in the game, before it got changed.
This was played via SEGA PC Reloaded. The only issues I noticed were some trippy visual problems on a couple of the special stages. There was also some kind of glitch with a ring at 39:45.
