Something was very wrong when this infant howler monkey was found alone on the ground near Nosara.
She was weak, vulnerable, and in urgent need of help. She was taken to our rescue center, where a full veterinary check—including x-rays and an ultrasound—revealed the cause of her condition.
We’ve named her Loba. She's now safe, in rehabilitation, and under close care as she begins her long road to recovery.
For every wild life like Loba’s, there’s a story of survival—one we only get to tell thanks to those who support our work in Costa Rica
