Heron Pike, the hard way, in this video I learn a valuable lesson, running short of time I rushed programming my Garmin Fenix 7 pro solar, and only pinpointed the start and finish, and in my haste didn't notice I didn't notice the route change from the intended course via Alcock tarn, to a less used direct off piste route. Half way up, off piste, with a heartrate of 168bpm definitely made me notice, I used my knowledge of the area to get back to the main path, and find a lovely pitch overlooking Windermere, Coniston, Elterwater, and Grasmere, I could even see the sea and Blackpool tower. The wind was fairly strong, and bitterly cold, so I enjoyed the views from the tent, in the morning it was even colder, and by the time I packed up my hands were numb, but it was still an awesome camp, I hope you all enjoy, atb Paul 🙏 🏕🏕🏕😁 #camping #mountains #tent
