70mph winds almost ruined my weekend, but the Lake District had other plans! Join me as I tackle -6°C windchill and the infamous bogs of Bleaberry Fell and High Seat.
Starting from the iconic Ashness Bridge, I headed up to Bleaberry Fell and High Seat. While the winds weren't as strong as predicted, the -6°C windchill was a sharp reminder that winter has well and truly arrived in the fells.
The views over Derwent Water and the surrounding 360-degree panoramas from the summits were absolutely breathtaking. In this video, I navigate the notoriously boggy ground between the peaks and find a clever spot to take cover for a much-needed summit lunch.
