Finally as requested, here is a how to for a smaller version of my oversized rook chess piece from an earlier video. This scaled down one uses just 390 balls, built from less than 2 neocube sets of 216 each. This is not a beginners project and takes some practice to get good at building and disassembling pentagonal layers, but the video should show you a few techniques. I left a central hole right through this chess piece in the video for convenience of construction, but if you have some extra balls to spare this shape also works fine adding a central ball to each layer, making the finished rook completely solid.
Background music is now the 2nd movement of Mozart's Piano Concerto No.17 in G, K 453.
