In a small Australian town, a local myth promises that if you throw your shoes over power lines at the exact moment a train passes, your wish can bend time and space.
As Jude prepares to leave for Sydney, he and his best friend Ez set out to find the perfect pair of shoes — ones filled with memories — hoping to hold onto their friendship just a little longer.

Soles was created through ‘Mountain of Youth,’ a mentorship program supporting young filmmakers in the Blue Mountains, Australia.
The story was developed collaboratively with students, inspired by their own experiences of growing up, feeling stuck, and navigating friendships that change with time. At its core, the film captures the emotional reality of holding onto relationships when life begins to pull people apart.
