This time is still improvable by several frames according to purplesun's TAS: youtu.be/b-yFYZLkmps.
To start, the backflip is very jank. In order to get the angle I got, you need to hold slightly right of directly up on the control stick. One would assume you'd want to backflip opposite the direction you want to go, but not this time! Anyway, I actually time the backflip approximately when the screen is all green. It's not exact, but eventually my muscle memory caught on to how to do it. The reason I want to time it is to try and get the backflip on the first possible frame. Later frames give different angles.
After I backflip, I do a nunchuk spin and release a sometime during the rise (i just guess it). This is to land on the post as early as possible. Next I have to run a bit to get a long jump. If I remember, I also try to bring the control stick into a half throttle position upon landing. By doing so and landing early enough it is possible to get the low long jump TAS did RTA. I've only gotten the low long jump twice in 2.5 hours of attempts. It only saves a frame, so just trying to land earlier is more important.
Short star so I don't have much more to say.
