Installing fishplate rail joiners can be fiddly and painful. With this simple jig the process becomes easy. The jig has plenty of room to grip and the handle prevents the joiner from sliding too far back the wrong way. I use a small set of pliers to grip the joiner once it has been slid on, then the joiner remains in place when the jig is removed.
