Jean-Philippe Marceau is the author of Post-Reductionist Christianity: A Way Out of the Meaning Crisis, in which he explores a path toward meaning for those shaped by a background in the pure sciences. Drawing from theology, philosophy, and contemporary discussions around the meaning crisis, his work seeks to articulate a form of Christianity capable of engaging modern scientific and secular sensibilities without collapsing into reductionism.
Jean-Philippe is the co-host, alongside Jonathan Pageau, of the French-language podcast La vie symbolique, where they explore symbolism, meaning, and religious imagination. He is also a long-time contributor to The Symbolic World blog and served for many years as its editor-in-chief, helping shape its engagement with myth, theology, culture, and contemporary life.
His writing and dialogue bridge analytic rigor and symbolic insight, offering thoughtful engagement for those wrestling with faith, meaning, and worldview formation in a post-reductionist landscape.
