The Shure MV7i is a USB mic. that also doubles as an audio interface! That means, you can plug in any other microphone and get a 2 channel audio out via USB-C. Can it power an SM7B as well!?
This was an unexpected microphone. Shure's newest in the MV7 line is the MV7i, the "i" is for interface and it means you can plug into another dynamic, condenser, line level or instrument input into the bottom via the XLR/TRS combo input and then it all goes out to the computer, phone or tablet via USB-C and lets you record multichannel audio via the software of your choice or the MotivMix software.
And the interface has enough gain to cleanly power an SM7B while also providing any microphone you plug into it with all the digital signal processing that the MV7i can use. That means you can use the Denoise (noise removal), popper stopper, compression and more on an SM7B or any mic you plug in because it all goes through the MV7i!
