I bought the LIFX bulb not for all its colors but so I could control my lights when I wasn't home. And they were on sale.
I wasn't even thinking about the fact that they could be programmed to turn any color I wanted. But when I realized this, I immediately thought this might make for a fun, colorful background in a video. So I tried it. These were the results.
This isn't a review of the lightbulb or even an endorsement; just a simple test to see what it would look like if I used the one I bought as a backdrop for a video. It's fun to play with but you could accomplish this with much cheaper bulbs. However, the app if very handy and these LIFX bulbs give you a lot of control via their app. Features such as integration with your Nest, Amazon, Google and other devices to give you visual prompts when events are occurring.
