To begin shut down the laptop and disconnect the power cord.
Proceeded on removing the bezel. Start from the side carefully pulling the plastic away from the LCD on
the inner edge. Go around the perimeter unsnapping the bezel from the back cover. Try not to apply
too much force. Put the bezel aside.
The LCD panel is held in place by four Phillips screws. Remove two top screws then the two bottom screws. Place the LCD panel on the keyboard.
Use a utility knife to unglue the clear tape securing the video connector. Using both hands disconnect the video cable. Discard the old LCD.
ake out the new LCD panel from the plastic bag. Put the bag on the keyboard and place the LCD on top. Using both hands reconnect the video cable. Secure it with clear tape. Caution! Make sure that the video cable is not twisted or slanted. It must be straight when plugging it in.
Align the video cable properly in its channel. Lift the screen up and set it up on the mounting brackets.
At this point we can test out the new screen. Press the power button and if the startup graphics appears
the screen is properly connected and working. Hold the power button for about 5 seconds to cancel the
boot up.
Replace the two bracket screws on the right side. Then two screws on the left side.
Remove the protective film. Replace the bezel. Start at the bottom corners and go around the perimeter
making sure that all the tabs are snapped in place. Reconnect the power cord, turn the computer on and
we're done!
