The cosmic dance of Mahadeva is compared to the powerful Agni (fire) on his hand and the rythmic flow of Ganga from his matted hair. He is depicted as dancing blissfully alongside devi Parvathi, surrounded by Bhuta Ganas, to the beats of Nandi.
