Self-reflection helps people to reevaluate themselves in a non-judgmental manner. In this piece, an individual is self-reflecting through mediation and notices her inner demons that seem to conquer her mind: greed, ego, and anger. She analyzes these emotions within her and realizes too much of these emotions have led her to suffering and distress. Through deep meditation and focus she is able to destroy these demons to gain mental peace and take a step closer to enlightenment. According to the four noble truths in Buddhism, cessation of suffering is attainable and self-reflection is on the path to nirvana.

Anger- Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned.
