A father was driving with his kids in the car when a woman allegedly hit him on I-20 and took off.

He followed while on the phone with police, trying to get her plate.

Then she stopped, got out, pulled a gun, and fired a shot near him and his children.

That’s how fast a “simple” hit-and-run can turn into a life-or-death situation.

And this is the part every armed citizen needs to wrestle with:

She was wrong.

She caused the crash.

She ran.

But following someone after they already showed you they don’t care about accountability can put you and your family in a fight you never needed to be in.

The goal is not to win the argument.

The goal is not to force someone to admit they were wrong.

The goal is to get your kids home alive.
