A food delivery driver in Miami Gardens was allegedly dropping off an order of banana pudding when two men tried to rob him.
According to the reporting cited in the video, one suspect allegedly got into the back seat of the driver’s car and put a gun to his head while they tried to access his Cash App.
That is not “just money.”
That is a man boxed into his own car, with a gun to his skull, while strangers decide how much of his life they want to take.
The delivery driver reached for his own gun and shot back.
Now one man is dead, another may be facing charges, and the driver still has to deal with the legal aftermath — because surviving the shooting is only the first fight.
Delivery drivers, rideshare drivers, and anyone working out of their car need to understand this: the app company is not riding with you. The policy is not sitting in the passenger seat. You are the one walking into unknown addresses, unknown neighborhoods, and unknown situations.
Carry your gun. Carry a camera. And understand that the evidence you bring with you may be the thing that speaks for you when your own voice is shaking.
