Shawn Langdon rocketed to the top of the leaderboard on the second day of the 2026 PRO (Professional Racers Organization) preseason test in Gainesville, Fla., delivering the quickest run of the two-day session.
After ranking second to teammate Doug Kalitta on Tuesday, Langdon answered with a thunderous 3.640-second pass at 342.11 mph, vaulting to No. 1 overall at Gainesville Raceway.
The run now stands as the third-fastest in NHRA history, trailing only the record-setting blasts by Brittany Force at Indianapolis and Sonoma.
Langdon’s performance capped a strong showing for Kalitta Motorsports during preseason testing and signals the Top Fuel camp is poised for the season opener.
With conditions tightening and teams searching for early-season momentum, Gainesville once again delivered headline numbers — and Langdon delivered the exclamation point.
