Shawn Langdon continues to look like the driver to beat in the 2026 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series.

At the inaugural NHRA Potomac Nationals, Langdon powered his Kalitta Air dragster to a 3.744-second pass at 336.23 mph to secure his third No. 1 qualifier of the season and reinforce his position as one of Top Fuel's hottest drivers.

The sellout crowd at Maryland International Raceway witnessed one of the strongest qualifying days of the season as championship contenders battled for the top spots heading into eliminations.

Beckman earned his second consecutive Funny Car No. 1 qualifier, Greg Stanfield snapped a 17-year drought to claim the Pro Stock top spot, and Angie Smith continued her emotional weekend while Matt Smith remained sidelined.
