Serious Sam TFE, TSE and Serious Sam 2 are basically reworks of my older releases. This time I based all the masters off the Qobuz 48khz 24bit versions though to be honest, they are all lossy since the composer doesnt have lossless masters anymore. I then declipped and declicked them and even added a bunch of bonus tracks that werent even in my old versions based on gamerip files from which some can only be found in beta versions. Basically reworked and expanded updates. Some tracks are also extended such as the TFE intro music. I also finally got around to do Serious Sam 3 which I havent done until now. I actually remade the SS3 arrangements from scratch based on the Steam lossless audio files because the official streaming soundtrack was all MP3 320 based. Not only that but I added transitions to some tracks in the same style as the newer Serious Sam streaming releases have so that the transitions between ambient and action layers is less jaring and sounds more natural.

This is finally my Re-Engineered GameBoy soundtrack from the 2nd gen Pokemon games. I already released the 1st sometime ago and I recommend to read that ones documentation or video description since it basically details the complex and tedious process. But in short, this sounds notably better than raw DMG soundchip recordings while still retaining the typical GameBoy sound. Basically my remake gets rid of almost all the noise and clicks. I record high resolution GameBoy audio and then tediously edit each rendering channel to get (almost) completely rid of clicks and pops and make everything sound alot cleaner and less fatiguing.
You do not believe how tedious and annoying this process it. Sometimes I was thinking I might as well recompose the stuff from scratch. All tracks have THOUSANDS of edits and optimization. And it took me OVER a year to work on this. This work was insanely time consuming but often I was also working on other stuff, which explains why this took so long.
You might also notice something special. I actually mastered ALL battle music themes into true stereo tracks by arranging the channels left and right. Due to technical limitations, they were only ever mono before. They basically needed the channels for SFX. But if you do not like this change, you can also just listen to the mono renders. Violet City also has a special stereo mix as bonus track by me since the original was almost completely programmed in mono and its one of my favorite tracks.
Aside of that, everything is exactly as with my 1st gen soundtrack. You can also choose between stereo and mono renders again and final masters are again 24Bit 96khz. Definitely one of my grandest (and most time consuming) works.")

These are all new releases. This time around I tackled PC games with Midi GM soundtracks from the mid 90s. I did these over a couple of months though I already looked before that into the topic since I first needed to figure out a process that makes it possible to render HQ audio because that Roland SCVA 1.16 VST was really picky about the DAW and most didnt work but FL Studio worked fine in combination with loopMIDI.
I usually tracked down the original MIDIs and avoided mus conversions as much as possible for instrument and BPM accuracy. This is why you might notice a few little differences in comparison to other renders since the Doom renders are based on the leaked Doom source code which still had the original Bobby Prince midi compositions rather than mus. They still had their Roland GS extensions intact for example.
After getting all the MIDI files I mostly rendered all channels one by one so that I can do more precise cleaning and mixing. The Bobby Prince and Lee Jackson compositions were most of the time left as is since they were composed on Roland and sounded right to me. Heretic and Hexen were highly reworked though and the mixing might be quite different from what you are used to since I really wasnt happy with the instrument balance and I tried to make clean balanced mixes with every detail audible and a clean soundstage. The James Paddock compositions were only slightly reworked since they were usually fine with the soundfont.
What was made completely different is Descent though. This is because there wasnt really a way to render the midis directly due to them being hmi files and some of the MIDI information and samples coming straight from the games code. Therefore I setup Dosbox and recorded the MIDI output and then did the mastering. In this case I also included the Redbook audio as bonus which I declicked and remastered too.
All renders and masters were saved as 96khz 24bit though it should be said that the majority of the SCVA samples seem to be 16khz.")
