Creative Cat Productions | SEGA Toys has an interesting history, but can they do games? I am NOT buying the Astro City Mini. @creativecatproductions | Uploaded September 2020 | Updated October 2024, 1 day ago.
Well, SEGA-Toys has released the COMPLETE list of 36 games that are going to be included on the Astro City Mini this December.....and they did this right in the middle of my update video, which was sort of a disaster. Long story short, they didn’t include ANY of the 3D fighting games people were expecting: Virtua Fighter 2, Fighting Vipers, Sonic the Fighters, Last Bronx, etc. But they DID include not one, not two, but THREE different versions of Columns?! Like, seriously?

But that’s small potatoes. I created a petition at Change.org weeks ago asking SEGA to make sure they included Dynamite Dux. And you know what?! They ignored our request! Talk about bad customer service, right?

Anyway, in this video we cover all the new games that have been revealed, the wacky accessories they’re releasing, and the massive 6-button arcade stick.....in case you want 6-functional buttons and full sized clicky sticky while you’re playing freaking Columns.....as if that were necessary.

We also cover the long and surprisingly interesting history of SEGA Toys as a company, wherein we realize that they aren’t necessarily the best fit for producing a miniature videogame console. Who would have guessed?

Conclusion? I’m not buying one of these. It doesn’t have the one game I really want, it’s got a bunch of wacky filler, it costs too much, and it’s being emulated by people who make beep boop toys for literal infants. It’s going to be a disaster!

Plus, my wife said no.
