If you are planning on heading out to the beach this 4th of July weekend, our sea turtle nesting patrol team is here to remind you of a few important things to keep our nesting sea turtles safe!
❤️Leave the beach the way you found it: clean, flat, and beautiful! This means picking up your trash, filling in holes, knocking down sand castles, and bringing in all chairs and umbrellas. This gives our nesting sea turtles and hatchlings a clear path to and from the beach.
🤍At night, use sea turtle safe lighting! (Red or amber light).
💙Be sure to visit us at Clearwater Marine Aquarium to meet rescued sea turtles and learn more about our sea turtle conservation efforts!
