Written in a few days in 1903, this short two movement sonata marks the beginning of Scriabin's path towards the Poem of Ecstasy and beyond. Apparently he wrote a "poem" which tells of a faint blue star in the distance, gradually coming closer until it becomes a blinding sun.
Took me more than a few days, more like a few years to get this piece to where I'm happy to share with you. A million thank you's to Daniel Berry for spotting a wrong note (d'oh!).
Created, edited and mastered in Digital Performer 5.13 (MOTU), using the Italian Grand (Fazioli) sound banks from Ivory (Synthogy).
