This recording may seems slow; I took my cue from Debussy’s own recording which sounds improvised. The attentive listener may note a “wrong note” which perplexed me, as this is what Debussy played but differs from the printed score. I attribute it to an engraver’s error, but fancy that generations of pianists have played it wrong! And besides, an f natural in the right hand clashing with f flat in the left? I appended side by side images at the end.
