The fourth piece in Séverac's suite En Languedoc. Note the appearance of the dies irae.
Alfred Cortot wrote, "If all we had of Déodat de Séverac's music was the short piece entitled Coin de cimetière au printemps, we should be eternally in his debt for a new emotion. An emotion arising from the moving encounter between the idea of eternal rest and that of the great desire which maintains life."
Created, edited and mastered in Digital Performer 5.13 (MOTU), using Ivory sound banks (Synthogy).
