As every years holiday, we went to Scotland in the Jeep and whichever way we go, it always ends with around 2500 miles on the clock.
This is a multi-part series in no particular order, i may do one short clip which outlines the route of this year (2017).
It's essentially a random mix of roads, ferries, villages, castles, distilleries, lighthouses and other stuff.
Just came back and there is so much footage to sort, so i can't tell right now how many clips we will end up with.
In this episode we going over the mountain road to Applecross (West Highlands). Done it many times before, in either direction, but It's such a great drive, just can't leave it out when in the area.
Luckily this time no panicking flatlanders frying the brakes of their rented bubble cars and no stuck motorhomes either.
Pulled quite a few out of the ditches over the years.

It boasts the greatest ascent of any road climb in the UK, rising from sea level at Applecross to 626 meters (2,054 ft), and is the third highest road in Scotland. The name is from the Gaelic for Pass of the Cattle, as it was historically used as a drovers' road."

Seriously, if you think a normal UK A road is dangerous (recently seen a YT clip named something like "incredibly dangerous road in Wales" - it looked like it was the A44 to Aberyswyth.....lol....),
just don't try to manage a single track, you may not survive it because sometimes there is very little room for errors.
If this alone does not put you off, make at least sure you fully understand the meaning of the road sign "Passing Place" and also learn what to do if there are no signs at all ! And no, they not parking spaces either !
And most importantly, in this country we drive on the LEFT side of the road !

Sorry for the rant, but i had a few near misses, usually involving a big white plastic box on wheels or a bubble car trying to pass me on the wrong side of the road ....
Kudos to the bikers, there were many this year, but never came across one which did not really know what he/she is doing, no matter what country of origin. ... Well, maybe except a Spanish guy with a BMW GS who ran out of juice in the middle of nowhere, no petrol station for almost 20 miles either way and the rain was pouring down. There is a very good reason why i always carry 2 jerry cans when up north ....
Please note: it may look fast, but applicable speed limit was maintained at all times
