During this special event, we awarded the inaugural Linda G. O’Bryant Noetic Sciences Research Prize to teams whose research helps extend the science of consciousness beyond the confines of the materialistic paradigm. This prize recognizes those who are pushing the boundaries of what we know about consciousness and driving the field forward.
Various models of consciousness, including non-local consciousness theories, were also be explored. These models proposed that consciousness is fundamental and non-local, and could potentially explain exceptional human experiences that cannot be accounted for by traditional materialist models of consciousness.
