This is a compilation of Scatman John singing in the 5th octave. Some notes I got from TheRangePlanet, some notes are my own findings.
Red highlights mean the note being hit
Blue highlights mean the note being hit weakly
Green highlights mean the note being hit by backing vocals
There's an editing mistake 1:51. The C5 was meant to be highlighted when he hit it in a loud manner.
It's incredible how high he could sing as a baritone. Normally, he speaks with a rather deep voice. At times, his speaking voice sits at the 2nd octave and sometimes even touches the first octave with F1 being the lowest note detected by "Pitchreader" (listen to the BBC 1995 interview for instance). He might have been a bass-baritone, but bass-baritones sound thinner than him when singing a C5, so, it's doubtful.
