In this video we are fighting for records and information about a Los Gatos Police Detective connected to our attorney and private judge investigations as well as the Code Enforcement investigation on Tait Street in Los Gatos.
This is part of our long investigation into the relationship between police, local government and attorneys acting as private judges in family law cases related to divorce and child custody where there are often related criminal prosecutions.
For over five years, the town of Los Gatos has been one of the more secretive and difficult local governments to get access to records and production of public records needed for our reporting.
When government delays, obstructs or conceals public records, we dig deeper. When police and public employees are irritated at our recording or requesting records, it speaks volumes about the culture of an agency and the folks working for it.
