1910 vs Buck
I predicted the 1910 could retire the Grizzly. Now that Daisy has posted the 1910 on their sight, the next logical move is to retire the Buck. The new 840 replaced the Grizzly, and the 1910 would be a huge improvement as the doorman to Daisy air rifles.
(1) Longer barrel - 18 inches which is 10 inches longer than the Buck. 7 inches longer than RR.
(2) Better trigger
(3) One and two add up to better accuracy and energy retention.
The 1910 is trouble free by and is a more accurate BB gun, and, with adult supervision, a young shooter can use lead pellets with even better results. The excellent pellets listed above kill pop cans with zest. The new Econ Ii wadcutters get after paper targets just as well.
The single soft spot for 1910, is that it jams on alloy pellets. But a shooter just cocks the bolt back and lightly taps it with a rod out the breach. Avoid alloy. The 880 attributes of the 1910 make it just as easy to work on as big daddy. And the simplified construction it shares with brother 35 makes it the easiest Powerline or youth rifle to maintain.
