⚠️NOTE: ONCE THE POST WARPS , EITHER IN THE 340 OR PSM45, THE GUN STOPS COCKING. THE PISTON AND SEAR STOP ALIGNING.⚠️
Well, I said in an older video that I would not move forward with the 340 after a third break, but it did go many thousands of shots. Having said that, right up to the end I was having to clear basic misfeed jams.
My 340 shooting dropped off as I started exploring the other guns in this class, the other carnival guns. Please know I get a streaming report of shooters saying that the 340 is breaking. The post can outright break off. I have yet to get those complaints about the DX-17 or 1018 Marksman. Daisy could bring this type back:

⚠️But make no mistake, these inexpensive spring pistols have a life span of 5,000-8,000 shots. Then they break down.⚠️
I feel in no hurry to get new 340 parts, which looks unlikely because the Daisy PDF doesn't offer it. Either way, I have three other pistols and they aren't jamming!
