A while ago I posted some quick instructions about how to assemble a Granberg chainsaw mill. This is the follow-up to show how I built a simple and inexpensive guide-rail system to complete the first and most-important cut on each log, as well as some tips on stacking your own green lumber. Both logs were poplar wood, which is easy to cut and dries relatively quickly compared to denser hardwoods.
