We saved Ani and Mazi from slaughter on the same day in March 2019. Mazi was too thin and frail to ride, and Ani suffers from chronic laminitis due to a metabolic disorder.
After being dumped for slaughter by their previous owners, we took them in and gave them sanctuary. It took several months to get enough weight on Mazi to ride; and we're still trying to get Ani's feet to where she can be adopted by a responsible family.
Mazi is a spunky, incredibly smart Arabian mare. She's well trained and learns quickly. Just under 14 hands, she'll need to go to a smaller intermediate rider.
Anastasia is nearly 16 hands and stout. Also very well trained and gentle, Ani will be appropriate for a rider with any skill level; however, she will likely only be cleared for light riding.
Both girls are absolutely delightful companions - full of personality and charm. They're both typical girls and love being BFFs with each other an humans.
