When we saved Winston from slaughter in June 2017, he was the youngest horse we'd ever rescued at 9 months of age. Since then, he's provided months of love and entertainment.
My husband caught this video of Winston while he was trying to muck out the barn. Winston always loves to be in the middle of the action. Especially when the action involves Mom and Dad.
Swingin' D Horse Rescue saves horses from the slaughter pipeline, nurses them back to health, trains them and adopts them to responsible owners. Our herd fluctuates between five and nine geldings (depending on how long it takes to adopt out rescued horses) and the older guys teach Winston how to be a horse.
