Unfortunately, Jadell Ferguson had other plans.
Fast forward to December 6, 2024, just after 2:00 a.m.—Cpl. Young spotted a vehicle weaving in and out of its lane going between 60–66 mph in the same 45 mph zone. Surprise! It was Ferguson again. This time, things escalated quickly.
With the smell of alcohol on his breath, bloodshot eyes, and slurred speech, Ferguson was asked to step out for Field Sobriety Exercises. His response? Chanting “Lawyer” repeatedly (Pro tip: Internet advice on traffic stops rarely ends well).
Ferguson refused to exit the vehicle and grabbed Cpl. Young’s arm, even tried to roll up his window to avoid being removed. After multiple warnings, Cpl. Young had no choice but to break the window and escort Ferguson out.
Ferguson was arrested for DUI, Resisting an Officer with Violence, and Obstruction without Violence. He also refused a breath sample, so… goodbye license.
