Sam Elliott, the icon from Western classics such as Tombstone, The Quick and the Dead and Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, the man behind the moustache sat down for an interview to discuss the his new show from Taylor Sheridan, 1883, a Yellowstone Origin story.

The Paramount+ Show broke new records as it debuted with the largest audience in that streaming service's history. The show, (created by Yellowstone co-creator Taylor Sheridan) has an amazing cast of icons, up-and-comers and great character actors, as it stars Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, LaMonica Garrett, and introduces newcomer Isabel May.
#SamElliott plays Shea Brennan on #1883, following the Dutton family (accompanied by Civil War vet, Brennan) as they embark on a journey west through the Great Plains toward the last bastion of untamed America. According to Paramount+, it is a stark retelling of Western expansion, and an intense study of one family fleeing poverty to seek a better future in America's promised land, Montana.
During the interview, Sam discusses why he was so attracted to the role of Shea, his history with the Western genre, and what makes 1883 special when compared to his vast filmography within Westerns.
