The Royal Tombs of the Joseon Dynasty is an interesting UNESCO World Heritage Site. Although several locations of royal tombs are included on the World Heritage List, we chose to visit the Donggureong tomb cluster on the outskirts of Seoul, where 17 kings and queens from the Joseon dynasty are buried. The highlight here was the immense tomb of the Joseon's founding father, King Taejo, but it also gave a fantastic insight into Joseon and Confucian funeral practices. Let's check it out!
