A cover of "Roses" from the game Friday Night Funkin'. This cover is part of the collaboration with 8-Bit Battleground.
First, I'd like to thank everyone apart of 8-Bit Battleground for having me, please checkout the rest of the covers of this track, as they're all amazing! I've not actually played FNF, but I'm quite familiar with the music as it's fairly popular within the VGM community with lots of other covers as it has some great music.
My first challenge with the song was to try and come up with a unique enough arrangement since there's already a lot of FNF covers out there and I definitely want to bring something new to the table, so purposely chose to incorporate some of styles I'm already familiar with, such as the funk part, changing time signatures, and a lot of changes in dynamics to keep it interesting. And considering FNF is a rhythm game battle kinda thing, I figured it would be fun to bring out the keytar to battle with the guitar! While my keyboard playing is pretty weak, thankfully this song wasn't too hard so it was doable, but still quite tricky for me! Finally, I figure with all the alternating keys and guitar, I figured it was worth throwing in solos for both instruments, and a bass solo in there too for good measure! Hopefully you all enjoyed this cover, and don't forget to checkout the other covers as well!
