A little bit of fan service. I've gotten numerous requests to add this one to my list of Sonic-themed arrangements.
While the original is very fitting and nostalgic, it honestly doesn't work super well, in my opinion, as a genesis-style piece. A bit too slow, a bit too simple, and just overall not enough going on melodically or rhythmically for it to be included in some form of a Genesis game.
So I've taken it upon myself to up the tempo, add some accompanying rhythmic parts, and create a custom over-lying melody to make an outright faux boss remix. With a generous sprinkling of the Freedom Fighter's theme as well, to act as a turn-around before repeating the main melody.
I certainly hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed tinkering with it. Thanks for listening!
