Before I did 56/20 Mode, I played through all of the challenges to see if there was anything different between this and the OG game. Figured I’d do it on video cuz who wants to see just the max mode?
I also recorded runs of 40/20, 45/20, 49/20 and of course 50/20 Mode. You’ll see them soon.
Surprisingly and conveniently, the Xbox clip recorder lets my mouse be visible in video, and I just wanna say that this is way more bearable than the cursor in the official UCN console port (when using kbm controls). It’s an actual computer mouse instead of a copypaste of the SL cursor, so moving it doesn’t feel weird, and there’s no click delay so it also doesn’t feel stiff. If this recreation didn’t feel as janky as the OG, I’d easily play this version over the console port any day.

Now that I know how Foxy works and how to use the timer against him, I’ll use it for Foxy Foxy instead of keeping Mangle stalled in Kid’s Cove all night. It’s more fun that way.

Blind Mode is a tad harder on mobile because you have to double tap to confirm movement to doors, and since you can’t see, you might not know that you’re facing the door to do so.

FNaF 6 has seen some interesting updates on mobile. At first it was very good, with the only notable bug being that the printer upgrade was a one time use (and before that there was also a bug where none of the achievements for the animatronic sets would give you money). They fixed that printer bug in the update after that, but at the same time they made Silent Ventilation turn off when the computer turns off or when an ad interrupts. This completely ruined the strategy I used, and it took some convincing for them to revert it back.
Unfortunately they made another change in that same update, one that they didn’t change back. For whatever reason, Clickteam decided that for pretty much every mobile port, inputs should be based on a “tap and release” instead of just tapping. What this means is that you can touch something on the screen to interact with it, but it won’t actually register until you release your finger from the screen. Normally this isn’t really an issue, but for games like Ball Pit, Ladder Tower and ESPECIALLY Carnival Hoops, where the arrow will be when you tap will be ever so slightly off. It makes specifically Carnival Hoops much more annoying to play because you need to time the arrow 20 times back to back in rapid succession, and trust me when I say it’s really trippy. I managed to work around it, but that doesn’t make it any less annoying.
Aside from all that, this is one of the best FNaF ports that Clickteam has put out there. Objectively speaking there’s not much wrong here, and the changes they’ve made to accommodate mobile are very good, such as making basically every button bigger and thicker. The only bug that I noticed is still around is that there’s no jumpscare sound in the salvages, which doesn’t affect anything really and is actually rather funny.

Night 6 was weirdly calmer than night 5. Bonnie and Chica are double the difficulty too.
