From Scarecrow's Journey (1970). This is a classic 70's album with plenty of atmosphere and a uniqueness that of course has its influences, coming from James Taylor and Paul Simon among others. A seductive voice over simple and straight forward backings. Some brillant guitar work from Jan Ackermann and excellent flute and piano played by Tijs van Leer, two top Dutch musicians. Difference from Trondheim and Buvika was one of Norways strongest cards in the period from 1967-69. The group was originally disbanded in 1969 (on the 17th of May), but they came back together again in the 70s. Tore Johansen sang lead, and Ivar Gafseth and Eling Mylius sang harmony background vocals. Their commercial appeal never matched their potential.
In 1995 after a sucessful Christmas Norwegian television show called The Julekalender there was released a compilation, with re-recordings of «Tree Of Love» and «Ballad Of A Broken Heart» from the 70s. It can be discussed which versions are their best, but the most historically interesting versions are of course the originals.")

Jefferson, aka Geoff Turton (formerly of the Rockin Berries), enjoyed a brief string of hits in the late 60s in England and America. Jeffersons work moved between several sounds, mostly pop/rock (often with a soulful veneer) somewhere midway between Mark Lindsay and Tom Jones, and also moments that will evoke Engelbert Humperdinck. Hes got a powerful voice, with an almost operatic delivery on certain songs. His rendition of Jimmy Webbs Montage is a highlight, reminiscent of If You Should Leave My Life from A Tramp Shining by Richard Harris; his big U.K. hit, The Colour of My Love, is a hauntingly beautiful ballad that is almost but not quite too over the top to be taken as a rock song.")
