Streaming simultaneously on Twitch and YouTube. I mainly play Endless Super Expert, currently using skips to reach 7777 levels. I prefer playing without skips but I started this journey and I will finish it. I will go back to playing Super Expert No Skip after reaching 7777 levels in this current Super Expert run.
If you want to join the twitch streams and be able to use channel points to redeem stuff such as making me like a level I normally wouldn't, making me change character for 3 lives, making me save a yoshi or making me go back for world record on a level, go here: twitch.tv/the_z7
Sometimes you may hear some talking in the background, that's my wife gaby_mg, she usually plays online with friends around the same time that I stream. Sometimes our dogs will bark a lot too, please bear with it when it happens.
I currently haven't enabled any kind of monetization on youtube so if you wish to support me monetarily, which is completely optional, consider doing it through twitch or, I suppose there's also this option: streamlabs.com/the_z7/tip

The longest Ive spent recording a video for this level series by far.
But... I think it was worth it. :p
Qwilfish... Qwilfish... Qwilfish... So yeah, Qwilfish is the reason why I spent so long recording this, but not because it was hard, far from that, but its because theres a lot of RNG involved if you want to go fast, and my luck is terrible. So what part of the level is RNG? The spiny movement underwater, whether they go up or down is random, and there are 3 of them in the way. The chance of getting the perfect pattern was probably 1/27 (I have no idea), but the chance of getting that perfect pattern while on a fast paced attempt was even smaller. This level alone took many hours, more than Ive spent optimizing every single other poké-precision level. On one of my attempts I was on the perfect run but the spiny at the end was on the worst possible position, and I lost like 5 seconds, so I restarted, obviously. Also I dont really like the green background, I guess it makes sense because its a poison type though.
There was one other level that gave me a lot of trouble, Magcargo, but only because the final jump is so tight if you want to get a fast time, I mean, look at it. I failed that jump a lot. So this one also took a while, but still not as long as Qwilfish. The rest of the levels were also hard to do fast, as always, but I dont have much to say about the difficulty speedrunning them, because they felt easy compared to those other two.
If you take your time, Id say Steelix, Scizor and Piloswine are the hardest of this batch. Steelix and Scizor are similar to the Onix and Scyther levels from gen 1, theyre the evolutions of those two pokémon, so thats why theyre hard. Piloswine is hard because of the ice, if you get used to it though, its probably not a problem. Shuckle can be pretty hard too if youre bad at edge jumps and bumper precision, but... I one shot it, so the level had a 100% clear rate until other people played it, and then I lowered it a lot trying to go fast. But it became one of my favorite levels of the series, its the only one where Ive seen people die to the timer, so thats good.
Weve uploaded levels all the way up to #245, so there are 6 levels left in gen 2, most of which have not been made. But the series will be done pretty soon. We were planning to wait a bit, but the announcement of SMM2 basically gave us a deadline for it.

6 precision levels, but only 2 of them are for Precision Crew. A while back I said its generally better not to look at peoples older levels, but I knew ShyGuy was going to delete his old levels to make space for new precision crew levels, so I got curious and checked his profile. I found a lot of 0% levels there and decided to ask for pictures of them so I wouldnt have to play them blind. Turns out theyre not bad, I mean, they can be unfair at times, but playing them was fun.
P U R E I N S A N I T Y [*.*] (0:00)
The rising lava made the first section stressful. Second section is mostly free. On the third section I kept being too slow, but eventually I got through it and had no deaths on the fourth section.
3D World Precision Playground (1:23)
This one took much longer to recreate than it did to clear, I was a bit nervous at the end though, not gonna lie. Anyway, cool level, but it would be very confusing to play blind.
Revenge of the P-Switch Jumps (2:58)
I spent a long time in editor trying to understand what to do after the first clear pipe, it made no sense to me, but eventually I figured out a strat for it; it seems obvious when you watch it, but it didnt seem possible when I was playing. The subworld was also confusing because theres kaizo blocks everywhere though, but I knew I would be fine if I just avoided them.
*L u c i d N i g h t m a r e s* (3:58)
Dark level bad. Okay no. The unfair parts of this level actually remind me of some of my SMM1 levels. Specially those door transitions and the ending. Luckily I only died to the door transitions twice, and never died after them. The first screen is the classic ShyGuy timing precision style Im now used to, so not much to say there. The subworld is unique for him though, I did not expect to see a line up, and its so close to the end too. Im glad I didnt play this one blind.
Lucky 7s (5:44)
Heres a recent one, a level for Precision Crew. This is the only level in this video I didnt remake in editor to practice, because its so short, but it still took a little while to beat. Also I like how each 7 becomes harder like in slot machines. Not much else to say about it though.
~ Cataclysmic Distraught ~ (6:15)
Hardest level of the video. Theres some really tight jumps and some really tight timings. The level took a few hours to beat and I had 3 deaths at the last jump. I actually got stuck on the jump next to 2 boos on tracks and the jump right after for a long time, until I accidentally figured out better strats for them during practice. I do a similar strat for the next jump, stand on the very edge, and spin jump so Mario wont wall slide. It was about time for me to have some good luck in one of these, but it was a still a long grind. The wall jump over the boo in the second half of the level is harder than it looks. The next jump too, I often pressed left just slightly too early, which resulted in me hitting the spike and sometimes the muncher would kill me even after I jumped over it. But really I could say that about most of this level, almost every trick is tighter than it looks, the only easy jump is the first one.

Well, thats a first. I dont think anyone else has failed there... You can just spam the button, but I am dumb, and decided to press it as late as possible... You can even hear the cape twirl right before the flower touches Mario, but I did it way too late and the actual twirl never happened. After that death, I decided to cheese the survival section at 1:10, felt bad to cheese it, but honestly, that dumb mistake felt even worse, it added a few extra hours to the total time grinding this, cause Im really bad at flying. Dont expect me to beat Second Impact or Final Flight, because that will never happen.

It is almost over. The next video of this series will be the last one. The journey to get here has been some of the most fun Ive had with this game.
So something funny happened with part of this level batch. Someone who was on break from streaming decided to do a surprise stream, and played this level series, which he doesnt do very often. His timing could not have been more perfect though. We had just uploaded the levels from #230 to #241. But when he played #231 Phanpy, he found cheese, and it wasnt just skipping one jump, you could literally skip the whole level with it. In the thumbnail poké ball design, Katz had put a big enemy and p-switches, and if you spawned them in just the right way, the big enemy would press the p-switches, and the bricks around would turn into coins, so you could run to the goal. Thankfully, at the time, the levels basically had no plays, because like I said, they were just uploaded, fresh. So we decided to reupload that part of the batch. It was mostly easy levels, so it didnt take long to clear them again. But wow, Im really glad that person decided to stream then and played these, because the cheese was not hard at all to execute, and it would have sucked if random people found it.
Anyway, I know people find water levels pretty boring, and this video has 5 of them. But Id say Kingdra is definitely worth watching. Well, pretty much everything in this video is. Theres a lot of cool speed strats. Skarmory, Houndoom, Kingdra, Donphan, Porygon2 and Hitmontop are some of my favorites in this video, they felt so good to do fast. And there was no RNG involved in this case... is what I would like to say, but Delibird has some RNG as well. But its not nearly as much as Qwilfish, the chance of getting the mystery mushroom is 1/2 and its at the very beginning. Not bad at all.

2 Precision Crew levels that are pretty similar in style.
It gets easier. (0:00)
I played this one a few months ago. But one day Colo(u)r deleted all his levels and recently reuploaded it so here it is again. Back then this was the first level where I ever did buffer jumps, which are performed by tapping the jump button just before landing back on the ground, and they give the lowest possible jump height, and I never expected to like them as much as I do now.
It gets harder. (1:35)
This one is, well, harder, obviously. The beginning is not too bad, but from 2:00 to 2:07 the difficulty ramps up a ton, I had to remake that part in editor to practice. Its very short at least, but I wish I knew what the ending was before I got to it. Thankfully I found a setup that made it very easy, basically auto if I timed it right. I still managed to fail it once though because of course.

5 Precision Crew levels.
Cosmic Calamity #TP (0:00)
This first one was recorded before I got my 60fps capture card. The only hard trick is the walk off at the bottom right, but I mainly included it in the video cause I like low gravity.
Jank ChainChomp Precision (0:54)
No idea whats jank about it, but I like the level.
Crimson Conquest #TP (1:41)
A lot of unique stuff that doesnt get used often in precision crew levels, which is always appreciated. The jump from the top conveyor in the subworld killed me a lot, not sure if I just didnt know how to do it, or if it was really hard, but most likely the first thing.
Path to Exile (2:50)
A nice wall jump level. And getting through some of the tight gaps felt oddly satisfying, even if it wasnt all that difficult.
Precise P Switch Platforming (3:36)
P-Jump levels are always cool. This one was kinda difficult, specially the ending, but the level was fun and didnt take too long. I thought about saving this one for my next precision compilation, but its probably better to include it here instead, just so that video wont be insanely long.

A long Team P-Balloon level, which also happens to be for Precision Crew. I played this a long time ago but I wasnt sure if I wanted to upload the video, but here it is anyway.
The practice doors on this one are very nice, I only needed to recreate two things: the key door entry, because I wanted to make sure I was doing it right and actually going into the door; and I also recreated the float between pokeys near the end, which killed me like twice in attempts. The first blooper part took some time to get used to, because I couldnt go too fast or too slow, but it felt cool whenever I got it. The hardest part of the level for me comes after the second practice door, Im still not very familiar with Balloon Marios hitbox, so I kept getting too close to the pokeys or not close enough, so the bloopers would hit me. The part after the third practice door is a lot easier than it seems, I dont remember dying there outside of practice. The key door entry is a bit scary, it actually killed me a few times, so I made sure to take my time. Thankfully the last section is free, so I had no deaths there. Anyway, fun level.

A long survival level, 8 minutes long.
Ive never played undertale, and usually avoided watching people play it, but last year a youtuber I like tried it, so I finally decided to watch along. For some reason watching that made me want to play this level. It also made me want to try the 2 hardest boss fights which I also did by downloading a custom save file, so that I wouldnt have to to through the story.
Remember when Slade got this level twice in his super expert no skip runs? I remember, it was great. I was planning to use his video as a guide, but then a few days ago I noticed his youtube channel was gone. I dont know why or when this happened, but it meant I had to play the level blind now. For some reason I also gave myself a dumb deadline for beating this level so I couldnt stop thinking about it, and I basically ended up playing it blind and while half asleep. Not the best of conditions for a level like this, but somehow I made it work, and it didnt even take that long, the deadline was a week away and I did it in the first day, I guess Im just used to expecting the worst luck now whenever I play Emilias levels. And yeah, I died to the last cannonball once, because of course.
Also unrelated but my video of reaching 77777 in endless expert will go up the day after this video goes up.

2 Precision Crew levels.
Eating Spaghetti with a Spoon (0:00)
One of those multi one screen precision levels. Pretty simple looking level due to how lenient some of the jumps are, the only really hard jump to me was the one for the third door. I had one death at the last jump because I held right just a little too late. Also I beat this just before Ryan thought to post pictures of the level layout so thats funny.
Twister Precision 1 and 2 (1:20)
Feels more like ice precision, but whatever. I expected this to be pretty hard because it combines 2 levels, one of which I had not played before, but that section turned out to be pretty easy. The only hard part for me was figuring out a strat for the twister ride, but even that didnt take very long. And because I had already played the second section in the past it was just a matter of time for the clear. A lot of my deaths were at the jump between 2 big piranhas near the end. Yes, the music blocks on the H still have big munchers on them, or at least Im assuming they do, but I didnt hit them this time so I dont know. Anyway, it felt nice to do both levels in one go, and after I beat this I tried the original twister precision 1 and beat it in like 3 attempts.

Finally played one a level in SMM2. I wasnt sure if I needed to hold jump at the end or not, so I had to make a guess, which was wrong, of course. Thankfully it didnt take long to get there again. The level in general only took a few minutes to clear. I wonder if Finch will make more levels in the future, cause hes also not happy with the new spike hitboxes and new timing for all the kaizo tricks.
