This is Part 2 of our day in Santa Barbara. We did a road trip up to SB to hit Cold Spring and Tunnel Trails. Part 1 was Cold Springs. This video is our ride down Tunnel. These trails are so long and I had so much footy I had to make 2 edits. I used footy from my DJI Osmo Action 3, Sean's GoPro Hero 12 and Hector's GoPro Hero 12. It was an epic ride, had such blast.
I like Cold Spring but I like Tunnel more. It is definitely more gnarly than Cold Spring but in a good way. Its more chunky and more importantly its more steep. These trails are too chunky to pedal so you really have to carry momentum to get over the chunk. Tunnel is steeper so its easier to carry speed. The trail is very technical and has very little room for mistakes but its such a bad ass trail and really helps you hone in your skills with picking lines and using body english to get the bike over chunk.
Tunnel is definitely one of my favorite trails in SoCal I would hit it more often if it wasnt so far.
