I just purchased a new E Bike but this was a very long process. I have been in the market to buy a new E Bike for 16 months and I was contemplating between 12 bikes. In this video I reveal the bike that I decided to buy, what were the other 11 bikes I almost bought, the pros and cons of each one, and finally why I chose the bike that I did.
Originally in late 2024 I was set on buying a Long Travel Light E Bike. The first 3 Light E Bikes I was interested in were the Ari Nebo, Transition Relay and YT Decoy SN. All 3 had the Fazua Motor. The reason I didnt buy any of those 3 was I kept hearing about all the problems and issues with Fazua motor. Then in 2025 Bosch released their SX motor which was their "light motor system" I got to demo the Transition Regulator SX and Commencal Meta SX which both had the Bosch SX motor but I didnt move forward with them because they weren't that much lighter. A few months later there were some new Full power long travel E bikes that I was interested in with the Bosch motor (Ari Timp, Transition Repeater and Yeti LTe) unforunately when I saw them in person I couldn't get over the size of the down tube, a couple months later the Santa Cruz Bullit was released this had the Bosch motor but had a 600 wh battery which made the bike look a lot better and it weighed less. Then early 2026 the TQ60 motor was announced and I was interested in the Yeti MTe and Propain Sresh SL. I really loved the motor and it was definitely my favorite "light E bike motor". I felt like the power was more than enough, the weight was low and range was great. I almost ordered the Propain Sresh until I was told by some people in the industry to wait for Sea Otter because there were some really dope Long Travel E bikes with the Avinox motor that I would probably be more interested in.
When I went to Sea Otter and saw all the new bikes I was blown away with the Mondraker Zendit. That bike was by far the best looking E bike I have ever seen. I narrowed my pick down to 3 bikes: Crestline RS181.2, Orbea Wild LT and Mondraker Zendit. Ultimately I chose the Zendit because it checked all the boxes.
Element 6 is going to custom paint the bike, I will be custom building this bike with all my favorite components. I can't wait to see it!
