Buckle up and ride with D.U.I. Enforcement Officer Ernesto Valerio! On this shift, Officer Valerio is called to a suspected impaired driver near San Jose Boulevard and I-295. Why did our officers suspect the driver was impaired? She was driving on two tire rims!
Once our officers began speaking with her, they noticed several signs of impairment. After the driver refused to complete field sobriety exercises, Officer Valerio arrested the driver for driving under the influence.
We can’t stress this enough: please do not drink and drive. We’ve lost 13 people in traffic fatalities this year. Do not put your life and the lives of others at risk because you choose to drink and drive. Use a rideshare, designate a sober driver, or find another way home.
